Meet Darlene Lara, Business Manager
As Gray Stone’s Business Manager, Darlene is responsible for all aspects of Back Office Business Operations. She functions as the CFO of the Practice and interfaces with the business community, clients and our Professional Associates. Under Darlene’s leadership and direction, all financial statements, accounts receivable and accounts payable are managed on an effective basis.
Darlene has a rich and diverse background in both business and the arts. She is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, majoring in Accounting. She has practiced in both public and private accounting environments.
Darlene has a strong entrepreneurial spirit having acquired and led a retail needle arts business, created the first highly successful Bed & Breakfast in East Tennessee as well as establishing her innovative needle arts publishing company, “The Marking Samplar”. She has a passion for antique schoolgirl needle art in the form of cross-stitch samplers. Her antique collections of both stitched works and sewing tools are museum quality dating to the 15th century.
